Quick Start is the new and best thing in Youth EE.  It’s new for 2007!  It an innovative new style of training for Youth.  It’s the quickest way we know for kids to start talking to their friend about their faith.  It’s life changing, fun, interactive easy to learn, fast and easy!  There’s two ways you can do this, in a one day workshop or a 3 day clinic where you can be certified.

Call Youth EE at 414-856-9123 or Email Ellen at IM4JC247@aol.com for more information.

Youth EE Works!

Youth EE changes hearts and minds!
We invite you to catch the vision!

Since January 2003, Grace Community Church has been the location of the Midwest Youth Evangelism Office which is based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Youth Evangelism Explosion has taken off at GCC!  If you are not familiar with Evangelism Explosion, let us introduce you! This ministry is one that trains both students and adults to understand what they believe, why they believe it, and then prepares them to be able to share it with others!

This training gives students a tool to use that equips them for friendship, evangelism, discipleship and healthy growth. These concepts have been developed, tried, refined, and revised by some of the finest teachers in the world. We have found it to be one of the most challenging, exciting and rewarding experiences in our church today, stretching the hearts and minds of our members off all ages, enabling them to share their faith with friends and relatives in every aspect of their lives.

Our involvement in Evangelism Explosion has served as a compass for both of us as we've grown together in our love and desire to further the growth of this ministry in the church, the Christian school and in the home. Student and Home School EE is an awesome extension of what we already know about the Youth EE Ministry.  This reaches another group of students outside of the church who may also be waiting to be trained, challenged and empowered through God’s blessing and guidance in their lives.

There just isn’t anything better than this: sharing the impacting ministry with students, be it in the church the school or right at home!  Watching them grow and gain confidence in their love and understanding of the Gospel, and sharing it with such vibrancy and freshness is such a beautiful testimony of this ministry and how others are transformed for Christ.”

Below  you will find the two ways you can get trained in Youth EE, as well as photos of our mission trips to Romania, Poland, and Ukraine. Our participants develop a world view at a young age, with the countless opportunities to share not only in their own communities but worldwide! Overseas mission trips are awesome opportunities to grow spiritually and develop a world view, but the harvest is good right here in the United States.  We’ve had the privilege to travel to Burke, Virginia, to do a clinic at a church  there as well! ! We invite you to catch the vision by looking at the many endless training experiences offered through Youth EE.  The benefits are outstanding!

To be trained:

Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that is within you.      1 Peter 3:15

Thirteen week classes offered twice a year which certifies a participant to become a trainer in youth evangelism.  Scripture memory, role plays, skits, and games are incorporated into the teaching, as well as OJTs (On the Job Training), giving the participants the opportunity to practice what they’ve learned in homes of church visitors, in the park or at the mall.

To Teach:

He guides the humble in what is right and  teaches them His ways…     Psalm 25:9

Clinics are offered in various cities around the country and overseas to train participants to become certified to teach and train pastors and key adult leaders in other churches how to share their faith and implement this ministry in their own churches.

Mission Trip Opportunities:

Go into all the world and preach the Good News.      Mark 16:1

With God’s leading we have left a legacy behind, the love and saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Fund-raising Banquet:

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!

An opportunity to invite and let others in the community see how to get “plugged" into Youth EE, the how, where, and why of the ministry and a chance to support youth who want to be bold for Christ.  Parents:  This is a good time to ask yourself, “What was I doing at their age?” and to make a difference now!

The Impacting Ministry of  Mission Trips

Mission trips are available year round!

Have you ever thought of being stretched in the mission field; to see the world, and glorify God at the same time?  There’s nothing quite as impacting or uplifting….and no better place to be than in the center of God’s will. Soar along with us as we share with you our travel experiences with a heartfelt mission to make Christ known and teach others to do the same!

Our small team of students and chaperones have traveled to Romania, Poland and Ukraine over the past two summers.  In the mission field we have experienced triumph and defeat, open arms and closed minds, laughter and tears, physically low points, and  spiritual highs that kept us going when we thought we’d never make it.  We have made priceless friendships and at the same time, been challenged with those still influenced by Communism.  We have visited pitiful, dirty orphanages with the lost and sad faces of infants and children crying for love and affection, but also seen the elaborate and ornately decorated castles and cathedrals, where money was lavishly spent by rulers of a by-gone era.

The personal relationships we formed had nothing to do with who we were, what we did or where we came from.  Our focus was to become one of them, entering the world of those we visited; our hosts,  living as they did, eating and interacting and sharing our lives with each other with no regard to race,  religion,  education, or what we owned. We learned to think of our team members as an extended family built on unity and love.  We learned patience, and  perseverance as we found that  our own interests were not a concern, but  that the needs of  others were far more important than our own.  We found sharing the gospel and praying with others that wanted that free gift of eternal life, to be the most  gratifying time of our day, a priority and a deep desire as we continued our travels.   We found we could do very well, with much less than we were used to, and most importantly, we found we could do nothing with out constant prayer and dependence on God.   He was with us every step of the way!  He lead us daily, encouraged and strengthened us!

Our eyes saw the beauty of God’s creation with a new brightness and clarity. From the salt mines in Poland, to the mountains in Romania, and the Black Sea in Ukraine, God was there, and everywhere   And never again would we take for granted soft percale bed sheets, a cold Coke, or glass of  milk,  air conditioning,  bath towels, and hot water!

We saw tremendous wealth, and horrifying poverty, and developed a worldview at a young age.  We experienced a WAKE UP call in the way we look and think about our brothers and sisters across the globe, an awesome opportunity to touch and be touched, to bless and be blessed to see God’s GRACE in the poor people we met. God’s riches at Christ’s expense.

I  encourage you to ask God’s direction for you in the mission field in the near future!

Here’s how you can get involved.  Qualifications are to be Youth EE certified through a 13 week class, or a 4 day leadership clinic offered at various cities all over the U.S.  Youth EE International has a website www.youthee.org. which list all the dates and times of these clinics. Rev. Richard Bond, Youth EE Vice President, has the listing of all countries open for missions this summer and we are in almost every country in the world!  He can be reached at RBond@compuserve.com If you are qualified, he’s the one to help you set up your trip as well as Sandy Nicolosi, his clinic assistant. For those of you in the Midwest, pleasse call, Nels and Ellen Huse at the Regional Office at Grace Community Church, 414-856-9123!  Our email address is IM4JC247@aol.com.

We’d love to hear from you as there is nothing we would rather do than share this impacting ministry with others!
